Check for any a spark

The spark plug may be defective .Check carefully if there is any spark. The spark plug ignites the air-fuel mixture and initiates ignition. Inspect it, if the porcelain insulator is cracked, an electrode has been burned away or damaged, or there is heavy carbon deposit at the electrode. Brush the spark plug lightly with a steel brush to clean it. If this process doesn’t solve the issue, replace the spark plugs with new ones. The oil/gas mixture damaged the spark plug more quickly, so be sure to replace the spark plug once a year & adjusting the gap as advised in the owner’s manual.

If your used chainsaw idol or unused for a longtime, then the fuel may have become bad. As a unstable components of the fuel would have evaporated leaving behind a thicker, stickier substance. Never to use automotive or boat oil. That’s 2 1/2 ounces of oil for every gallon of gas. Make sure you are using two-cycle oil. To ensure the correct mixture, drain the oil from your engine. Flooded Engine

Is smoke coming from chainsaw? When you smell of fuel while you try to start your chainsaw, your engine may be flooded. Remove the spark plug to check for moisture. Too much fuel on the engine is a cause of moisture. Through the fuel with spark plug hole and put in a fresh spark plug.

Dirty air filter

Most starting issues are caused by dirty air filters. Check the air filters of your chainsaw. If it is blocked, it will produce too much gas in comparison to the amount of air – as if the choke is always on – or it will block the flow of fuel. Rewind Spring

The rope won’t be able to recoil onto the chainsaw pulley if the rewind spring is broken. The rewind spring recoils the starter rope onto a pulley. As a result, the engine may be difficult or impossible to start.

Recoil Starter

The engine won’t turn over and the chainsaw won’t start, if the recoil starter assembly is defective. Remove the starter assembly and observe closely if it is functioning properly.
